If this sounds like autism or ADHD, an assessment is a fair question
One small thing you could do
Write two sentences: the social pattern that keeps repeating, and roughly how long it's been true. That's not a diagnosis — it's the first thing a clinician would ask for, and it's worth having on paper whatever you decide.
Autism and ADHD are routinely missed — especially in women, where they present differently. Both make friendships harder to build and keep. An assessment is a fair thing to ask about.
